Fishery Flora and Fauna Pathogen Data Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of China (hereinafter referred to “Pathogen Data Center” or APCCMA) is a preservation center for pathogen and related cultures constructed by Shanghai Fisheries University in November, 1998 with approval of the Ministry of Agriculture. The total investment in budget is 15 million Yuan, and by now 7 million Yuan has been invested. It mainly deals with the preservation of pathogen of animals and plants in fishery used for patent/non-patent procedure at home and abroad, and for the related theory, application and development, being the only preservation body designated by the Ministry of Agriculture for special aquatic pathogens and related cultures.

APCCMA will offer good and efficient service for patent applicants of pathogens of animals and plants in fisheries at home and abroad, protect the lawful interests of the owner of patent/preservation, and promote development of the theory and practice of China in prevention and treatment of disease of animals and plants in fisheries.
