About the lecturer:

Peter Hubbard, Doctor and researcher at the Center of Marine Sciences of Universidade do Algarve, graduated with a Doctoral Degree from the Specialty of Endocrinology of the University of Sheffield. From 1993 to 1998, he was engaged in postdoctoral research work at the University of Manchester and the University of Cambridge. Since 1998, he has been working at the Center of Marine Sciences of Universidade do Algarve, and is mainly engaged in researches in the fields of fish olfaction, chemical communication, comparative endocrinology, physiology, etc. Doctor Peter Hubbard and his colleagues have for the first time in history detected and separated an isomeric steroid pheromones from the urine of male Oreochromis mossambicus, and found through further analysis that isomeric steroid pheromones can all promote the ovarian maturation and oviposition of Oreochromis mossambicus. So far, he has published more than 60 high-level academic papers on Current Biology and many other internationally-famous journals, and his academic results have been highly affirmed and rated by colleagues in the international academic community.
