On the afternoon of July 31, Prof. Atef Abonour, Vice President of Suez Canal University and Dr. Hassan Ragab, Dean of Confucius Institute, paid a visit to SHOU. They were warmly received by Wu Jiannong, Vice President of SHOU; Zhong Junsheng, Director of International Exchange Office, and related leaders and teachers of the College of Economics and Management, the College of Information Technology, the College of Foreign Languages and the College of International Studies.
Wu Jiannong warmly welcomed the guests, and the two sides respectively introduced the history of development, college-setting and discipline features of their universities and exchanged ideas with each other about their own international cooperation.
SHOU signed a cooperative exchange agreement with Suez Canal University in 2006. This time, both sides expressed the hope to further conduct substantial academic exchange, strengthen their cooperation and development in the fields of marine science and Chinese language, and expand their teacher and student exchange programs. As pointed out by both sides, the cooperation answered the call of the “Belt and Road Initiative”. It’s their sincere hope that they would supplement mutual advantages, further deepen their cooperation and promote win-win efforts through this opportunity.
