About the lecturer:

Dr. Neubig is a BS holder in Chemistry at the University of Michigan, anM.D from Harvard-MIT Health Science and Technology Program at Harvard MedicalSchool and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School. He receivedmedical training and worked in the Department of Pharmacology and InternalMedicine at the University of Michigan Hospital. In 2013 he Joined and servedas Director and Professor of the Department of Toxicology and Pharmacology, MSU.His researches focus on the GPCR signaling pathway. Recently, he has beenengaging in the trans-criptional mechanisms that target at such fibrosis ascancer and scleroderma at the trans-criptional level, and proposed potentialtherapeutic options. He is chairman of American Society of Pharmacology andExperimental Therapeutics (ASPET) and received the Astellas-ASPET Medal for hiscontributions to the Translational Medicine. Dr. Neubig was elected as a fellowof American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2016 and is the chiefmember in pharmaceutical science.
