In recent days, the news-release of the “Annual Report for Impact Factors& International Citation of Chinese Academic Journals (Version 2017)jointly launched by Scientific Bibliometrics and Evaluation Center of China andTsinghua University Library was held in Beijing, attended by nearly 1000scientific research institutes, universities and periodical publishing housesfrom all over the country. The Journal of Fishery of China organized by theChinese Society of Fishery and undertaken by Shanghai Ocean University was onceagain selected as one of the Most Internationally Influential Academic Journals(natural science and engineering technology).
The annual report takes the literature published on internationalmainstream academic journals in 2016 as the statistical source, including journalscollected by the Web ofScience database and 1762 world-renowned socialscience journals, totaling 20192 kinds of journals. The statistics of theinternational citations of 6210 kinds of academic journals published in Chinaare taken.
At the news-release,revealed the lists of China's Most Influentially International AcademicJournals 2017 and China's Internationally Influential AcademicJournals 2017 . There were 175 kinds of journals of natural science andengineering technology included in the two lists, including the Journal ofFishery of China.
This is the fifth time this year that the Journal of Fishery of China wasselected as one of the Most Internationally Influential Academic Journals(natural science and engineering technology) after it was selected for thefourth time as the 4th Excellent Science and Technology Journal of China andChina’s Top 100 Outstanding Academic Journals by the Ministry of Science andTechnology. The inclusion of the Journal of Fishery again not only reflects theinternational influence of the magazine, but also unveils our ability inrunning periodicals, which has received great attention from readers at homeand abroad.
