【专家简况】
Dr. Pradeep Malakar, Research Scientist in Institute Food Research, NR47UA, Norwich, Unitied Kingdom. He has worked at the Institute Food Research for 7 years and has achieved senior scientist status. His research primarily concerns food safety modeling and quantitative microbial risk assessment for a variety of food borne hazards. The financial support for his research activities is derived from both public and private sources. During his career Dr. Malakar has collaborated with several senior scientists working in quantitative microbiology. His recent research in risk assessment has centred on the development of novel computer based tools for complex systems analysis and for decision support. Currently he is involved in research on Food Chain Risk Modeling, a research area in the Rural Economy and Land Use program (RELU) which is funded by Research Councils United Kingdom (RCUK) and the Ministry of Agriculture United Kingdom (DEFRA). In this program he has collaborated with the Centre of Infections, Health Protection Agency, Colindale, London, on epidemiology of foodborne pathogens.
