About the lecturer:

Ning Zemin, PhD., is a senior PI of the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute of the University of Cambridge. After obtaining his PhD degree in engineering at Aston University, he began to receive postdoctoral training at the Cavendish Laboratory of the University of Cambridge; in 1999, he joined the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute to engage in bioinformatics research. For years, Ning Zemin and his team have devoted themselves to bioinformatics algorithm development and software integration, accumulated more than ten years of experience in data processing, DNA sequence comparison, genome sequence assembling, and developed many software widely applied all over the world. He has published more than 70 papers on Nature, Science, Cell, Nature Genetics, Nature Methods, PNAS, Nucleic Acids Res and many other journals, and the total citation counts have exceeded 25,000.
