On May 11, the Third Shanghai Ocean University International Cultural Festival on the Starfish Square of SHOU, and attracted teachers and students of SHOU, the teacher and student representatives of high schools, elementary schools and kindergartens in Lingang Area.
The theme of the Third Shanghai Ocean University International Cultural Festival was “Hello, SHOU!”. At the festival, international students designed 20 international pavilions of different styles, and exhibited their unique traditions and cultures through cuisines, artworks, featured clothes, etc.
On the square stage, international students from all over the world presented the most excellent shows of their nations. They wore their national festival costumes, demonstrated their clothes, pictures, cuisines and artworks at their booths, and gave teachers and students a taste of local conditions and customs of five continents. Lingering around one and another international booths and listening to the exotic Chinese of international students,teachers and students engaged in heated exchanges with them, regardless of the differences in language, skin color, nationality and age. This is a platform where diversified cultures of the world blend with one another. The event not only facilitated the friendship and exchanges between Chinese and international students, but also promoted their understanding and recognition of the cultures of different countries and regions.
Teachers and students present at the festival voted to elect “My Favorite Pavilion”. Responsible persons of related departments also attended the event, and awarded certificates to winning pavilions and volunteers.

Shanghai Ocean University International Cultural Festival created an opportunity for teachers and students to appreciate the unique customs and glamour of different cultures worldwide, promoted cultural integration, and spur up their cooperation and exchanges via the bridge of friendship.
