On April 8, the 2019 Working Group on Fishing Technology and Fish Behavior (WGFTFB) meeting of International Council for Exploration of the Sea (ICES) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), ICES-FAO-WGFTFB 2019, was grandly held at SHOU. Present at the meeting were FAO officials, foreign experts, experts of domestic institutions, and teachers and students of SHOU. The meeting was presided by Li Jiale, Vice President of SHOU.

According to reports, ICES-FAO WGFTFB 2019 meeting lasted for five days, from April 8 to April 12, and mainly focused on eight themes. This meeting offers a global academic exchange platform for researchers focusing on fishing technology and fish behavior worldwide, and promotes the extensive application of research results in this field to reduce the influence of fishing on environment.
