About the reporter:

Song Jinzhao is a researcher at the Institute of Basic Medicine and Cancer (IBMC), the Chinese Academy of Sciences; a double-employed professor at the Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study, UCAS; and a professor at the Cancer Hospital Affiliated to the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since 2013, Professor Song has successively engaged in postdoctoral research at the UCLA School of Medicine and the School of Engineering and Applied Science of the University of Pennsylvania. Before returning to China, Professor Song had served as a research assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania; successfully won the support (with a total amount of about 1.3 million USD) of two scientific research projects (NIH K01 and NIH R21) as an independent PI and as a co-PI and one entrepreneurship incubation fund, respectively; and received a “Scientist Development Award” of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the “Young Scientist Award for Precision Medicine” of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC).
