On March 12th, 2013, the women’s volleyball team of Dallas Baptist University (DBU) from America visited SHOU. The friendly match was finally held in SHOU after one-month’s preparation of the Volleyball Association of SHOU with the assistance of other departments.
The men’s volleyball team and the women’s volleyball team from SHOU were both courageous and ambitious, demonstrating a strong sense of competition of students from SHOU. Through communicating with the women’s team of DBU, the two parties have established deep friendship, which will be a great foundation for the further collaboration and communication between the two universities.
Through this friendly match, SHOU volleyball team members have gained abundant match experiences, and witnessed the great skills of women’s volleyball team from American universities. After the match, SHOU volleyball team members expressed that they would receive harder training in order to play better and expand the influence of volleyball in SHOU.
The Volleyball Association is a new association in SHOU which was established in May 2011 on the basis of the former Volleyball Club. The team members have used their spare time during study for hard training and holidays for intensified training for 2 years, which lays a solid foundation for this international communication match.
