On the morning of September 29, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between SHOU and Shanghai International Port (Group) Co., Ltd. (SIPG) was held in the Tuwen Information Center of SHOU. President Cheng Yudong and SIPG Vice President Fang Huaijin signed the agreement on behalf of the two parties, and jointly inaugurated the “Green Port and Shipping Safety Innovation Experiment Base”. Vice President Li Jiale directed the signing ceremony.
SIPG is China’s largest port-based joint-stock enterprise. As the backbone and support unit of the R&D center of domestic transport ship and port energy conservation & energy saving, pollution control technology and equipment industries, it plays a leading role both at home and abroad in promoting the green, low-carbon, intelligent and efficient development of the port industry. In recent years, SHOU and SIPG have launched very fruitful cooperation in terms of conducting the discharge detection of port and ship ballast water, preventing and controlling alien biological invasions, protecting the ecological environment and biodiversity of Shanghai port and adjacent sea areas, etc.
According to the agreement, focusing on the green port construction goals proposed by SIPG in its “13th Five-year Plan” period, both sides will strengthen their cooperation in the ecological environment research of Shanghai port and adjacent sea areas, think tank construction, talent cultivation and other aspects, with the purposes of improving their innovation capacity and industrial demonstration level, leading green port development in China and realizing win-win and common development.
At the signing ceremony, Shi Yongzhong, Director of the Logistics Department, signed a supplementary agreement for the rental of the experiment base with Ni Fuquan, Deputy General Manager of Yangshan Tongsheng Joint Investment Development Co., Ltd..
After the meeting, accompanied by leaders of SHOU, the delegation led by Fang Huaijin visited our University History Museum, Pelagic Fishery Remote Sensing Center, Training Center, etc.
