Recently, at the invitation of the editorial board of Geology, a well-known academic journal in the international geology field, professor Feng Dong of the College of Marine Science of SHOU has become an editorial board member, starting from January, 2020.
Founded in 1973 by Geological Society of America, Geology is a top-grade journal in the geoscience field, and issued on a monthly basis, with each issue containing about 23 essays (four pages). Its contents cover all the fields of geoscience. Geology enjoys very high academic reputation in international geoscience circles, and is a journal included by Nature Index. It has a 5-year average impact factor of 5.406, and has ranked in the first place in the geology field in the “Web of Science Citation Database” for 13 consecutive years. At present, professor Feng Dong is the only editorial board member of the journal from mainland China.
