China has a long history of integrated rice-fish farming, which is a precious heritage of Chinese agricultural culture and a crystallization of China’s agricultural wisdom. From traditional rice field fish culture to various forms of integrated rice-fish farming (e.g., multiple uses of water and double harvest), integrated rice-fish farming has become an important means of increasing China’s grain income and promoting innovation in China's fishery development models. The promotional value of the integrated development model of agriculture and fishery has been highlighted in international agricultural cooperation with Lancang-Mekong countries, ASEAN countries, African countries, etc.
