Lecturer Profile:

Zhu Qing, Deputy Director of Academic Committee and professor of Southwest Jiaotong University, a pacesetter in geomatics science and technology, a state-level distinguished professor, and a member of the Discipline Review Group of the State Council, has long been engaged in teaching and scientific research in geospatial informatics, and has done fundamental and pioneering work in digital elevation modeling, 3D geographic information systems and digital twins.

Summary:

Digital twin is an important symbol of railroad modernization construction and management from a high starting point, also a new way to build intelligent railroads, and a transformative technological tool to support high-standard and high-quality sustainable construction and safe operation. The lecture focuses on the unified expression of the whole life cycle of the whole elements and their interaction relationship in the whole scope of the railroad, the efficient organization and management of multi-granularity and multi-modal spatial and temporal data from the physical world and the information world, and the high-performance augmented reality visualization and analysis, multi-level and multi-discipline organic collaboration, and the optimized cloud-edge resource scheduling, and other frontier technologies., and creates case studies on the multi-level and multi-discipline collaborative application in combination with railroad planning, designing, constructing and scheduling, emphasizing the organic integration of BIM information based on the real-life three-dimensional geographic and geological spatial information platform, realizing the integrated intelligent governance of the railroad with the geographic and geological environment, personnel, machinery, materials, and disaster risks, etc. The spatial and temporal big data continuously converged by the digital twin railroad provides a transformative technical means for the whole life cycle management of the railroad.
