The university has a faculty with jointly appointed academicians, winners of the National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, members of Discipline Assessment Team of State Council Academic Degree Committee, finalists of the Million Talents Project, state-class young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contribution, national excellent teachers, Shanghai outstanding academic leaders, Shanghai leading talents, Shanghai college oriental scholars, leading teachers from Shanghai famous teaching masters, etc. Among these people, 59 are entitled to the State Council Subsidies.

Construction of Qualified Teaching Teams
It has a teaching staff of about 1200, including 930 teaching and scientific research staff, among which 390 have senior professional titles, 512 are doctoral and master’s supervisors, 380 have doctor’s degrees, 376 master’s degrees and 2 are members of Chinese Academy of Engineering.
